Renee Walsh
Renee is a Licensed Acupuncturist and practitioner of Chinese herbal medicine. She received her master's degree from the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine in Seattle, Washington and is trained in traditional Chinese acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, Chinese nutritional therapy, Auricular (ear) acupuncture, and Tui Na (Chinese medical massage).
Renee has always enjoyed outdoor activities and is an avid hiker and backpacker. A knee problem in her early 20s led her to seek the help of an acupuncturist. With a hope to walk the Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine, Renee couldn’t accept not living her dreams. She sought the help of a Chinese medicine doctor for her knee pain.
I tried orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists and everyone else I could think of. They all told me it was the way my body was built and that I wouldn’t be able to hike the way I wanted to.
After two or three months of treatment with acupuncture and Chinese herbs, I never had the knee problem again. I was able to hike the Appalachian Trail!
