Acupuncture and Chinese medicine, together, are a complete medical model that has been used for over 2,000 years to treat a wide variety of conditions. From an eastern perspective, health is achieved through the balanced flow of Qi (pronounced “chee”) throughout the body’s pathways called meridians. Like the water of rivers and streams, Qi flows freely to reach every aspect of the person’s body, mind and spirit to maintain harmony. If, however, Qi becomes obstructed or depleted, dis-ease will develop causing pain and imbalance. Treatments, like acupuncture, are uniquely designed for each patient to help free the flow of Qi and restore equilibrium.
